Thanks everyone for coming and sharing our most special day with us. I hope everyone had a great time, I know we did although it’s a still a bit of a blur at this point. I’d like to get copies of the pictures that everyone took so we can put them up on the site. You can give me flickr links, or zips or CDROMs or whatevers. email to weddingphotos@mward.fastmail.fm please. Our photographers should have some sneak peaks up soon and I will link them when I get back from the honeymoon.
Got some photos back from Kim from the Bachelorette Party. I think it’s clear that the girls had much more fun than the guys did. pics on flickr or view the gallery after the break. (more…)
I had my second contrasted CT-Scan Monday afternoon. A few hours after the scan, the radiology dept called me and told me they where faxing the results to Dr Pachaidee and I should call her office. So I called, they said they hadn’t gotten the faxes yet but would look for them and it might be Tuesday before I got a call back since they where closing soon. I put it out of my mind since Karen and I were meeting with Elegant Imagery for some pre-wedding photos Monday night. (more…)
I knew that Ultimate Fighting Championship 83 was airing close to the wedding and with all the stuff that would be left to do, it may be hard to justify taking a night off to watch it. So Chad and I decided that we would call it my Bachelor Party. And so we did.

My sunburn started to peel last night, what a nightmare. I kept waking up about every half an hour and peeling huge sheets of itchy skin off. I think I shed my entire back at least three times last night. It’s still peeling a little bit this morning make it hard to concentrate on work. GAHHHHH!
Last couple of days I have been waking up about every 2-3 hours instead of sleeping through the night. It’s getting me to work on time each morning but starting to wear me down. Dr Pachaidee said that should would have dropped my prednisone dosage to 20mg twice a day (instead of the 30mg twice a day) but didn’t becuase of the upcoming wedding and associated stress. I’m not really feeling any stress about the wedding, at this point it’s out of my hands and I just don’t tend to stress over things that I have no control over. I am going to drop down to the 20mg twice a day dosage now instead of waiting until after the honeymoon.
Met with Dr Pachaidee for my post hospital follow up. She wants to do another CT-Scan to take a look at how the artery is responding to the steroids. Since I’ve been doing so well, she said she would normally start dropping the dosage but with the wedding coming up and stress levels along with it, she wants to keep me at the same dosage until after the honeymoon at which point I will start lowering the dosage. She was not happy with me about the sunburn. The prednisone is going to make healing from it slow going. Lots of lotion and and lesson learned again I suppose. I’ll meet with her again middle of next month to go over the CT-Scan results.
OMG, I am a dumbass. I thought since we will be hanging around the pool after the wedding and being outside a lot on the honeymoon, I should get a little bit of sun. The plan was to mow the yard with my shirt off, about 20 minutes of sun. But there are three small trees in my yard and the branches are hanging a bit low and where in the way. So I stopped the mower, got out the branch cutters and cleaned up the lower branches. Well then my neighbor walked over and I haven’t talked to him since I was in the hospital so he got the full scoop. Then as I was mowing past the tomatoes, I decided I really, really needed to clean up all the dead leaves in there so the tomato hornworms don’t have anywhere to hide when I spray them.

Prednisone is a corticosteroid (not an anabolic steroid so no massive pumping up for the wedding). Steroids are used by the body to regulate metabolism, inflammation, immune function, and salt and water balance. I’m taking 60mg a day of prednisone, 30 in the morning and 30 at night to suppress the inflammation of my mesenteric artery.

Karen and I finally went last weekend to get some pictures done. There is a small studio nearby in Viera that was having a $9.95 special and we needed a good picture for the cover of the wedding program anyway. By the time we left, we spent a little over $100 worth of stuff. They gave us a CD with all the low-res stuff on it so I uploaded it.
